Emerson Copeland ZF*KQE Scroll Compressor are designed for medium temperature and low temperature. The series has a wide application envelope that can operate from -40°C to 7°C evaporating temperature. The ZF*KQE models operate with liquid injection in order to control the discharge temperature and extend the operating envelop.

ZF*KQE Copeland scroll compressor is equipped with discharge temperature control valve, specially designed for low temperature applications. The discharge temperature control valve (DTC valve) is used to control the liquid injection, in order to control the compressor discharge temperature. Liquid injection cools the compressor motor to enable it to run reliably under difficult high compression ratio conditions normally seen on low-temperature freezer applications. The liquid injection technology not only widens Copeland scrolls compressor’s evaporating temperature range but also prolong the service life.
The air cooled condenser coil is made of the copper tubes and aluminum fins. The purpose of the condenser coil in the refrigeration system is to remove the heat from the high-pressure high-temperature refrigerant discharge from the compressor. When we design the condensing unit, we fully consider the high ambient temperature. The higher ambient temperature will increase the condensing temperature, thereby increase the compressor power. The condensing temperature should be as low as possible – in regard to both compressor life and energy consumption. Glen Refrigeration condensing units adopt large capacity condenser coil to achieve low condensing temperature.
The liquid line solenoid valve is installed in front of expansion valve. The closer to the expansion valve, the better. So generally we will suggest our customer to install the liquid solenoid valve on site, if our customer can install the solenoid valve on site, it is better. We can send the solenoid valve together with the outdoor condensing unit.
For the outdoor condensing unit 8HP and above 8HP, the solenoid valve is not installed in the condensing unit. Because the pipeline is long, there is a lot of refrigerant inside the system.
The compressor is the heart of the refrigeration system. A good quality compressor play the key role in a refrigeration system or condensing unit.
