When we talk about rotary compressor, many people will think of air conditioner compressor. Or some people will concern about whether the rotary compressor can used in refrigeration? Of course, the rotary compressor can used in commercial refrigeration. It is a rotary refrigeration compressor, equipped liquid injection. It is designed for commercial refrigeration, both for medium temperature refrigeration and low temperature refrigeration. The lowest evaporating temperature of Sanyo CRSS compressor can reach -45°C. Sanyo rotary refrigeration compressor has been used in commercial refrigeration market since 1987.
The compressor used in 1HP to 3 HP outdoor condensing unit is a liquid injection compressor. The liquid refrigerant is piped from the refrigeration system liquid line, injected into the compressor cylinder to take the heat off the compressor motor. Thanks to the liquid injection, the compressor is enable to run reliably under difficult high compression ratio conditions, like the low temperature freezer applications. The liquid injection technology not only reduces the compressor discharge temperature, widens the evaporating temperature range, but also enhances the compressor reliability.
The sight glass in a refrigeration system is to observe the liquid level of the refrigerant and moisture content.
The liquid line solenoid valve in refrigeration system is used to prevent the high-pressure liquid refrigerant from entering into the evaporator when the compressor shuts down, avoiding the low pressure over-high when the compressor starts next time and prevent the compressor liquid shock. For outdoor condesing unit from 1 HP to 7HP, we can install the solenoid valve inside of the outdoor condesing unit for the convenience of our customers. But for the outdoor condesning unit 8HP or large than 8HP, the liquid line solenoid valve is not installed inside of the unit. Because it is better to install the liquid line solenoid valve before the expansion valve, the nearer the better.
The electric board of Glen Refrigeration’s outdoor condensing unit just like the CoreSense of Copeland Compressor. It can monitor the discharge temperature and condensing temperature, then adjust the condenser fan speed according to the changing of the condensing temperature.
At same time, it has the function of fault alarm, like the low/high pressure alarm, condensing temperature over-high alarm, start frequently alarm, discharge temp. sensor fault, condensing temp.sensor fault and other functions. When there is fault, the the digital tube on the electric board will display the fault code. Then we will know the fault clearly according to the fault code. It is easy for our customers to troubleshoot.
The high and low pressure switch in refrigeration system is used to protect the compressor when the high pressure is over-high or the low pressure is too low. The HP pressure switch or LP pressure switch will cut off and stop the compressor to protect the compressor from damaging.
Otherwise, the LP pressure switch is usually connected in series with the solenoid valve. When the pressure is too low, the circuit is cut off and the compressor stops working.

The 1~3HP sanyo rotary compressor outdoor condensing unit don’t need to install the oil separator. Please see the reasons below:
The production and processing precision of rotary compressor is very high now. The oil output is much less compared with piston compressors, semi-hermetic compressors, screw compressors.
Sanyo compressor is a rotary compressor, the suction pipe connects the cylinder directly, when the oil is too much, it will cause the oil hammer.
The maximum height difference between the condensing unit and the evaporator is 10 meters, and the maximum piping length is 20 meters. If the distance is longer than 20 meters or the height is larger than 10 meters, it is recommended to add the oil and refrigerant according to our operation manual.
